Realization

"You sure know a lot about what to do in these parts of town for not having ever been here." she said placing her hand on her weapon.

"They're just like predatory animals." she explained calmly

Laurie didn't like being led. She preferred doing things on ehr own account. But nevertheless, followed after the pack's alleged leader.
"Where are we going anyway? " she asked

Fang seemed not to hear her and continued to walk.

When she came to a less-than-respectable looking Inn, she smiled.

"Home sweet home." she said, walking in and ignoring the seedy looking characters that cast the young women appreciative glances

She's certainly picked less than a five star hotel, that was for sure.

She strode up to the counter, her signature 'no nonsense' face on.

"We'd like a room." she said, directly to the point.

The greasy looking man appraised them, much to Fang's annoyance.

"How long you staying, babe?" he asked with a slimy grin, revealing many lost teeth.

Fang stared at him, bored
"As long as I please." she said "And I am not your babe."

The last words were spoken with such malevolence, poison could have oozed from between her teeth.

Disgruntled, he threw her a key, and she fairly hit him in the head with the sack of coins.

The room was definately under-par

Rats skittered across the floor, and there were two hay-filled matresses on flimsy wooden frames. The floor was in need of a good scrubbing.

Laurie walked in, less than impressed.
"This is it?" she asked as she sat on the so called 'bed', and it folded in slightly.

"Sorry I couldn't procure us a suite in Hyrule Castle." she said acidly

"But we're trying to lay low, and what better place to do that than the last building in Hyrule that anyone would want to inhabit."

Her cold logic made sense but was still annoying.

Laurie eyed a rat with a disgusted look.
"Yeah...home sweet home.."

then the door flew open and a masked person ran in "ahhhhhh......they have come fro my soul" the man shouted

anather man grabbed the masked man and ripped him out of the room "sorry bout this..GET OUT OF HERE U BLOODY DRUNK" he shouted then closed the door

Fang didn't even WANT to know what was going on downstairs.

"Look, I'm sorry. But this is all my budget will allow. Tomorrow I'm gonna go get a job, and work to move us into a better place, ok Laurie?"

Laurie sighed.
"Ok..I might as well get a job too, huh?"

Laurie knew that eventually she'd be out of there, whether Fang was with her or not.

Fang frowned, as if reading her mind. Which she wasn't, she was just good at reading body language

"What did we agree on?" Fang said suddenly.

then the door burst open again then masked man fell to the ground and the other men started pulling him by the legs. he gripped the floor with his nails and left scapes all over it the last words he said b4 he closed the door were "LEAVE NOW B4 THEY KILL YALL TO"

Laurie gave a disgusted look at the man.
"We agreed on not telling anyone." Laurie replied, laying back on the 'bed'.

Fang sighed and rubbed her temples. Her wolf-tuned hearing was being a pain, thanks to the raving drunk below.

She stamped her foot.
"SHADDUP DOWN THERE!" she snarled.

She turned back to Laurie

"We agreed to stick together, way back there in the wasteland."

"Yeah, yeah, yeah...details.." she said, rememebring she had promised to stick together.

"Details can save your furry little tail." she said sharply

'She says that like I care..' she thought to ferself, but showed no body language of it.

"That's nice to know.." she said blandly.

But Fang did care.

She'd die a thousand painful deaths before she let anyone know that, but she cared very much

She just...had problems showing it, that was all...

As these thoughts flew through her mind, she stood, dazed, staring at the wall.

Laurie banged on the wall at the noise next door, knocking half the paint off where she's hit.
"HEY!! SHUT THE HECK UP!!" she yelled, wiping the dried paint off her hands,"Morons.."

Laurie wasn't in what you'd call a 'happy' mood at the moment. She was staying in an Inn that had rats creeping around everywhere, beds that fell out from under her, people around her giving her a migraine, and walls that looked as thought they'd fall apart any moment.

Fang seemed completely calm.

"This is a big improvement to a cave." she said suddenly

Like she's all of a sudden turned into Ms Optimism

....Well, as much as was possible, since, you know...she was Fang

then a sword came through the wall she had jsut banged on right next to her head "stop bangin on me wall" the man on the other side of it shouted

Laurie ripped the sword back and jabbed it back through, slicing his arm on the way.
"EXCUSE ME?" she yelled. That had only given her a reason to be in a worse mood.

Fang was snapped out of her temporary bad mood.

She went into an erm...'eloquent' speech full of...'interesting' words.

No one could string 'em together quite like Fang

She smirked when she was done
"What can I say? I have a way with words."

"ahhhhhh my arm"

Fang frowned

"SHUT UP IN THERE, YA BIG SISSY"
