Realization

Fang was awake, late into the night, staring at the stars while the rest of The Pack slept.

She sighed. This was getting ridiculous. The Changelings couldn't go out and do anything without danger of being killed, not even hunt.

She knew something had to be done....

But she just couldn't face the human world...

Braska suddenly woke up.He noticd fang was up.

"Hey i just had an idea.Why should we have to stay in hiding?Im tired of being normal.Tmmorrow we're gonna go iinto castle town and see what the real world is like."

Fang clenched her teeth

She felt more or less responsible for the other Changelings

As cold as she was on the outside, she wanted to do what was best for them. Even if it wasn't what was best for her.

She sighed again.

"I do not know." she said slowly "It is getting harder to survive here."

"Maybe we'll find a better life in the human world."

She set her mouth in a grim line.

A battle was erupting on the inside.

Part of her despised the human world, spat on it.

The other part reminded her that it was half of her, a part of her. It coursed through her veins.

Howling in frustration, she shut her eyes.
"Perhaps it would be best." she said finally "To live in the human world..."

She quickly added
"But we must not lose touch with our Mother."

"Of course not.We will visit frequently." Ixion said he rolled back over and went back to sleep.

Fang sighed, letting her head fall into her hands

"What have I gotten us all into?" she whispered. "If we're in danger now, imagine if we go live right under their noses?!"

The Great Fairy's voice drifted into her ears.
"My darling, do it...live amongst the humans...you cannot deny that it is part of you. What better place to hide than with them? And I promise, my child, I will watch out for you." the breezy voice said, wafting by her ears gently

She sighed contentedly, immediately soothed
"Perhaps you are right, Mother" she said quietly

"Morning"

Ixion woke and yawned.He stood up and turned towards castle town.

"Theres our new home."

Fang sighed.

"Yeah. New home. Great."

"Dont worry.it'll be fine.Besides i know a lot about castle town.It was where i used to live before becoming a chageling."

[the changelings are born changelings, though lol]

[i thought you said they were once humans who helped the great fairy then she granted them this gift?gosh confusin folks.lol]

"Any way mal confuses people too much but dont worry we'll be safe." Ixion said as he transformed into Braska.

[Yeah...the ancestors were XD]

Fang rolled her eyes.

Midnight awoke to the voices.
"Thanks for the wak-up call.." she said sarcastically as she walked over to them.

Gale watched from a branch overhead, listening in on the conversation.

"Anytime." Fang said, picking up her few belongings.

Midnight watched Fang gather her things.
"Woah..where we going?" she asked

"Great Fairy spoke to me." she said briskly

"Society is closing in on use. We must accept it, or die." she said

This was hard for her

"The Great Fairy told me we needed to accept it."

"Well lets go."

Fang looked around.
She grabbed Drifter

"Up and at 'em, kiddo." she said, "We're on our way to the Great Unknown."

She looked at Ixion
"Get Ryu."

"I see.." she said looking into the town.

"So..we're moving in with them? What if they catch us?" she asked,"we'll be right under their noses." she repleid.

"What better place to hide?" she said matter-of-factly

Braska shook Ryu and woke him up.
"Come on we're going to castle town."

"True..it would be the last place they'd look or expect of us." she said.," We'll hafta find a place to stay first." she watching Drifter run up to the pack.

Fang took up the role of leader.

"Yeah, I'm working on that." she said

"Yeah we will have to find some place,like a hotel or something.
