Realization

"I'M GONNA 'AHHH' YOUR ARM IN A SECOND!!" she said barging into the next room.

After several thuds, she marched back into her and Fangs room and wiped her hands.
"I think I settled that.." she said.

Fang rolled her eyes

"Way to lie low."

"Thank you." she said appreciatively, as if Fang had actually complimented her.

"If you get us kicked out of here, I'm gonna be seriously pissed." Fang said calmly, sitting on her bed.

"If we keep acting the way we are, we shouldn't. The people below and beside us are acting worse in case you hadn't noticed." she repleid.

"The people below and behind us aren't hybrids, so it doens't matter."

"So? They should be catching all the attention off of us." she said to ehrself

"I don't think the creepy manager finds them more interesting than a couple of young women." she said logically

Laurie gave a disgusted look.
"I suppose you're right.." she said.

Fang smirked.

"Indeed. Be on your toes, and sleep with a dagger under your pillow. By all means, don't be afraid to use it."

Laurie laid down in the bed, dagger set into her palm beneath the hard pillow. And turned on erh side and looked about in the room.
"That'll do.."she thought to herself.

Fang yawned and sat on the bed, crossing her arms and leaning against the wall.

All was silent for a long time

then a rock flew through the window "hahahhaaaha" a bunch of lil kids shouted and ran off

[tryin to get them irritated]

Laurie sat up in bed.
"Okay, I hafta eat something."she said getting up and grabbing a few coins she'd felt under the mat.

"Think this'll be enough?" she asked, showing two coins and one bit in half.

Fang stared.

"Yeah if you want sewer water." she said, taking out her own money.

"I've got enough. Here. Go get you something...better yet, I'll come with you." she said, still feeling responsible for Laurie

"Ok, but don't get left behind or anything," she said grabbing the bag and headed out the door.

She raced back in after her dagger, placed it into her palm, and headed out again.

Fang yawned and stretched, and grabbed her two swords.

"I won't." she said venemously, going down the stairs.

Laurie had already raced down the stairs, hungry for a meal she had been deprived of the whole day.

She went around the corner into a bakery.
"Want to try human food?" she asked, turning to Fang behind her.

Fang shrugged, letting herself be led around

Laurie turned on her heel and gave the baker several instructions before leaning on the counter, silent for once.

The baker handed her the items and she took them, handing him the needed amount of coins.

"Here," she said handing Tala a piece of warm, moist bread,"Try it."

kayu was inside the bakery picking up some flour

Fang sniffed it

She took a small nibble, chewing carefully,

"Well?" Laurie asked.

"It's ok..." she said "It's warm."


She really liked it.

"Yeah, it's called bread. It's good," she said taking a small piece if it for herself.

"Here." she said giving hre a small slice of recently cooked ham," it's warm too." she said taking a piece for herself.
