Realization

Fang smelled of it

'Pig?" she said, taking a giant, un-mannered bite.

"You like it?" she asked, giving Fang another, larger bite.

"Uh huh" she said, ripping it with her hands and cramming it in her mouth

"You like pig. Well then..maybe some bacon." she said.

"I only got one though, you can have it. " she said handing it to her.

kayu got his flour and saw them standing over there testing meat "heyy what yall been up to" kayu asked with a smile

Fang looked unsure.

"You only have one, and you're...giving it to me?" she said, in awe

"Yeah.." she said, a small laugh in her voice," That a big thing?" she asked, digging through the rest of the basket.

Fang slowly, apprehensively took the bacon, then ate it before Laurie could take it back

No one had ever just given her food.

"Uhh, nah..." she said recovering. "But uh...thanks..."

"ok well i see ur consumed in testing meats so ill talk to yal l8er gotttah get a few more things for the cabin from town" kayu said

"Oh, hey Kayu."Laurie said.

"And you're welcome," Laurire said, slightly confused,"C'Mon, lets go home..i've got some fuits and vegetabls too." she said making her way back to their 'home'.

Fang nodded.

What in the Great Fairy's name were fruits and vegetables?

Laurie led her alng into the 'lobby' and up the stairs to their room.

She set the basket on the small table and set two small, clayt plates out.
"Here, fill up your plate." she said, handing her a plate.

Fang picked up a stalk of celery

"What...what is it?"

"Celery..it's a vegetable." she said picking up a small stick and taking a bite out of it.
"Mmm,"

Fang sniffed it

"And...you eat it?"

"Yess," Laurie said taking a bite out of a carrot.

She carefully took a bite.

And abruptly spat it out on the table

"It doesn't taste good. In fact it doesn't taste at all."

"Yeah, but it's good for you." she explained," I really don't like it either.." she said.

"Here'd some more bread and ham." she said offering it to her.

Fang smirked slightly, and crammed it into her mouth

Laurie smiled and finished off hre piece of bread and ham.

Fang picked up and apple and took a big bite

"Mm...it's...it's...full of water...except, it's not water...it tastes...like the candy, only it's not making me sick."

"Yup, good, huh?" she asked taking a bite of her apple.

"And this is a banana." she said, raising the yellow fruit.

Fang repeated the word

"That's a stupid name." she said

"Yeah, but they're not that bad.."she siad handing it to her,"Try it,."

Fang ate it.

"It's nice...and soft. And it taste different than the apple...but still good." she said in wodnerment.
