Hylian Languages Class - 2nd Period

Ms. Kimori began.

"All right. Here's the deal. Hundreds of years ago, every race spoke two languages: their own, and Common. Common is what we speak today. Somehow, the native languages got lost for the most part. That's where I come in. I'm supposed to teach you the languages time forgot."

A Kokiri boy raised his hand
"If we all speak Common, why do we need to know this?"

Ms. Kimori sighed.
"Because, it culture enriching. That's why. I went to college for this and I'm not wasting it."

Sylom also had a pen and a pad a paper out. he couldnt wait to lean the new language.

"Ok, so Ancient Hylian is made up of glyphs, or symbols..."

Sylom raised his hand to ask a question.

"What do the symbols look like? Can you show us?"

colby began to write this down

"Yeah, sure. One sec. Now, glyphs are made up of two or three letters each when pronounced."

She walked to the board to put up the Ancienc Hylian Alphabet

colby looked at tehm and studied it for a moment then wrote them down "translation plz"

"WTH??????" Sylom blurted out.

"I dont understand this crap!!!!!!"

"Alright, just know for now that this is what the alphabet looks like in Ancient Hylian."

Zelda smiled. This was going to be a breeze. She already knew all this. Link kind of knew it pretty well.

Everyone else was lost. Vaati was taking careful notes.

Sylom said "WOW"

"well this doesnt seem to hard" colby said to himself writing sentences in the acient language already and takin more notes

"Now, pronunciation is listed as well." Anita continued

(It's like Japanese with new symbols.)

colby then jotted the notes down and whispered some sentences to himself

Zelda raised her hands.

"Can you teach us some simple words?"

"Later." Ms Kimori said ''First I want you to all copy this stuff down."

colby finaly finished what was on the board and awaited

Eventually everyone was done, and Ms. Kimori put down the Edgar Allen Poe poetry book she was reading.

"Okay, cool. Now, get with a partner and like...study it I dont know..." she said.

Link and Zelda, best firends that they were, partnered up.

Airas and Aqua paired up for lack of knowing anyone else too well.

Kadomi yawned and grabbed some random kid to study with

Vaati didn't know what to do.

But Kiara came to the rescue
"Want to study?" she asked him

He looked at her funny at first, then slowly nodded.

"well erm...wander who i can study with" colby looked round the room and saw every one was takin "well uhh guess ill study on my own" he said then went back into the notebook and studyed his notes

The Kokiri boy who had spoken up earlier was also partnerless

(lol I am not makin a char of him he's just random)

"oh well igues there is some1 to partner with" colby said then started studying with the other person

Zelda began to explain to Link all the different glyphs

"It's really quite easy when you figure out the syntax." she said

Aqua and Airas were studying, but still having trouble

Kadomi studied a little, goofed off a little, then went back to studying

Kiara was confused.
"Ok, so the glyphs...each one is for two to three letters...so ka, ke, ki, ko, ku..." she said, writing it on her paper. "is like this, right?"

"Uh...yes." Vaati said

they jsut studied

Soon, there was only give minutes left.

Anita put down her book of poetry.

"Ok, guys. Time's about up. Get you books together and stuff."

The bell rang.

"See you punks later." Ms. Kimori said, picking up her coffee.

Ms. Kimori sighed and took a sip of her coffee, fidgeting with the hem of her black skirt.

"Welcome back, punks." she said as the students filed in

colby looked at her then took his seat in the back
