"Oh come ON! you're such a baby..." Catherine said, dragging Evelynn up the walkway of a termite infested mansion.

"I swear, this must be some form of homocide...dragging me into a place like this...And all for what? A bet? A stupid bet?! I mean, you KNOW Addy wouldn't have gone in this place in a million years. But oh no, you just can't say no to anything, can you?? You don't und--" she blurted, before Catherine's hand clasped over her motormouth.

"Shhh," she said quietly, a special glint shining in her pupils," or you'll wake up the ghosts."

Pen grinned to herself.

Ye Olde Castle Towne...her newest target for the paranormal.

Pen strode into the abandoned neighborhoods, boots clicking on the cobblestone. This was gonna be fun...

"Mhmmmhmhmhmhmhmhmhmhmhhhmhmhmmhmhmhmhm," Evelynn mumbled through her little sisters hand.

"I cant understand a word you're saying, now just co--," she stopped suddenly,"We gotta go in now. We'll be in it deep if we get caught." she nodded to the lady headed down the street, and dragged Evelynn into the house.

Lilith was humming softly to herself, brushing her hair gently in the mirror of a vanity in the former lady of the house's chamber.

"...And we'll dance in the scheme,
Of our unending dream,
By the light of the pale silver moon..." she sang softly, placing the brush down.

She stood, walking towards the full-size mirror in the corner, admiring her wedding gown, and placing her fingers on the ever-wet red stain where her heart had been stolen by love.

...And she slammed the door.
Bad move, Cathy. Bad move.

Evelynn removed her sisters hand, looking around at the dust stained mirrors, and a cobweb lit chandelier, thinking to herself how beautiful it must have been back in its day.

But, I'm sure there were several other random thoughts floating around in her head too. There always are.

Pen froze. A door had slammed!

"Oh boy! Ghosts!" she breathed, quickening her step toward the nearest mansion.

Lilith looked up. "...Someone's home?"

[[LOL, Lilith. Someone finally got back from that all expense paid vacation! Lol.]]

Catherine immediately looked in the staircase closet for a dead body.
No such luck.
"Well thats no fun..." she pouted.

"We've got bigger problems, Cath..." Evelynn said, peeping through the white laced curtains at the lady outside.

"Hide."

Pen had never been especially talented in the art of being subtle.

With a few well-aimed kicks, she'd broken the top hinge of the door and slipped inside.

Smiling smugly, she glanced around the perimeter.

Lilith made her way to the doorway, following the hall to stand at the right wing of the top of the staircase, looking down at the foyer.

"Oh...visitors..."

The blank perimeter.
Cause two of the stooges had vanished.
Like ghosts, but in a different aspect.

Upstairs, down the hall, and second door on the right the girls cramped together in the small closet, breathing ever so delicately.

Pen veered right, towards the basement/scullery down the stairs in the kitchen.

Lilith followed the sound of two pairs of feet, fiddling with the edge of her dress and drifting in and out of rooms.

[Waits for the mirror trick. xD]

[[ROFL.,Oh yes!! I hafta do it now...]]

Ev unlatched the door and peeked out, thinking Din it wasn't creeky.

Motioning to stay put, she quietly crept out of the closet.

**snickers**

A vanity with a mirror stood against the wall, innocent and harmless.

Pen grumbled as she picked her way through the scullery. No sign of anything out of the ordinary thus far, and she wasn't sensing anything yet.

She examined the floors first, so she didn't trip and fall through.
Her gaze crept up the wall, and to the bed in the corner of the room.

She went and sat down on the feathered mattress, bouncing on it for a moment before standing and staring at the door.

"Ah!" she squealed, as she stared back, frightened at her own reflection.

For there, in the mirror, was not her face, but the face of another young woman.

She was pale beyond what should be healthy, and had bright eyes. Her face mirrored Ev's mask of horror.

Pen looked up...a noise from upstairs!

Stumbling in the darkness, she leapt up the stairs two at a time.

Horrified, she touched her hand to her face.
Just making sure it was still there.

Her reflection that was not her own did the same.

Pen rushed up the flight of stairs in the foyer, hurrying a random room

She dropped her hand, and limply raised the other, tilting her head to the right.

Lilith did likewise.

And this chaos ensued for hours, finally ending with the Robot.

Okay, not hours, only for a couple of minutes.
Whatever...

Finally, Lilith reached her hand through the mirror, towards the terrified girl, and then dissipating before she could be discovered by anyone else--

BAM! Pen burst through the door, her eyes falling on Evelynn.

'Crap..' was the firt thought floating through Ev's mind.

A blood-curdling scream was the second that actually came out of her mouth.

As if on cue, Cathy jumped out and grabbed hold of her sisters arm.

Pen's eyes flew open, and she reached for her knife. "Okay, calm down. I'm not gonna hurt anyone. I'm only here for answers..." she called over the noise.

She winced. Her ears were probably bleeding. "Are you guys paranormal?

The scream died, and she almost did from fright.

The sisters looked at each other,knowing just how to manipulate her to the best of their abilities.
Cause, y'know, in a way...they were kinda out of this world.

Evelynn's mouth moved to the side and back.
"In what way?" she asked quietly.

"In any way..." Pen said, "I hunt the oddities of this world to further my knowledge and test my wit's end!"

"She herself seems pretty 'odd' to me..." Ev whispered to Cathy, who respond with a small nod.

"And if you mean ghosts? No. We're not the living dead." Ev said, looking back at the haunted mirror.
