"We will only help you get inside the castle, we will not par take in your further actions, for we do not wish to be enemies to people we have no quarrel with." the Mother Wolf said as Avgreil let down the earth fortress, and the other wolves created a circle around the three humans.

"Thanks," Zee said

"Well i guess i need to tell you why they killed my mother." Roarick said. "Well she was a changeling and some
Hylains found out and got scared. They told other Hylians and they banned together and came after my mother. The only reason i survived is because she hid me in a hollow tree she found while we were running and shoved me in."

All the wolves growled, except for the Mother Wolf.

"Let's go," she said as the wolves howled in unison.

There was a great flash and everyone was teleported to the thone room of Hyrule Castle.

[Gee... Mal sshould remember this lol. Sound familiar Mal?]

[Quite xD Okay, so um...do your thing. Kill guards, the king. Whoever. Just let him have some time of fear..lol don't just rip his throat out first thing. And leave a corpse so poor Zelda has something to bury ]

The King sighed heavily. He'd been so depressed lately, and--

-teleport noise?-

King Daphnes looked up in alarm. Before he could say a word, guards surrounded him, protecting him from some new danger.

The wolves just stood there as sentinals not wanting to become an enemy of the Hylians.

They would only interfere if needed.

Roarick charged at the guards reckless as usual.

Zee however teleported behind a guard whispered Death in his ear and slit his throat.

The guards ushered their king away, fumbling for their weapons. They were surprised by the sudden attack, and this left a small hole in their defenses. But it wouldn't last for long.

Avgreil noticed the king's attempt at escape, so he surrounded the king, guards, Zee, and Roarick with a Earth wall.

Then, each wolf took posts on the edge of this thicker wall, all of them holding a mental connection with Avgreil, to notify him of the kings movements.

[Avgreil is on the outside of the wall with Okami and the Mother Wolf]

"Ha!" Roarick said as he took down another guard and watched the earth wall go up.

Zee teleported behind the king and shouted," Nobody move and drop your weapons or the king gets it." He's gonna get it anyways she thought to herself

Avgreil sat cross-legged on the outer perimeter of the earth wall. He sat quietly, listening...

I sense that more gaurds are on their way to this room he told the wolves.

He was right.

Guards swarmed the area, hacking at Roarick, Zee, and the earth wall, defending the king successfully as he himself brandished a scepter.

Zee persued the king dodging and slicing oncoming guards.

Roarick didthe same but a bitt less gracefully.

The King hurled his scepter at Roarick angrily.

"Why can't you leave me be?" he cried out, enraged, "I've lost my wife and my daughter...I have nothing...Leave me to die alone in peace!"

"You'll die here and now old man!" Roarick yelled still not so gracefully dodging and slashig at people.

The King did not move.

He did not fear, or cry out, or hide.

He stood stoically, bravely, unafraid.

King Daphnes Nohansen Hyrule knew what it was to love, and to lose love. Head held high, he watched Roarick rush haphazardly about the throne room, the last of his worries. He did not care, he did not fear, he did not feel.

Guards fought valiantly, falling honorably with strangled cries, collapsing all around the King, but he still did not move.

The King of Hyrule, leader of a nation that had overcome countless times of darkness, having witnessed birth and death, the changing of seasons, and hardened by war and time...

He who'd stumbled, carried on, faltered, risen and fallen...

In that moment, he lost the will to live.

With the help of Zee Roarick managed to defeat mant guards and he fought his way to the king.

Zee on his tail, Roarick finally stood face to face with the king. "Do you have anything you want to say before you die, old man?" Roarick asked, sword as the king's chest.

The King looked into Roarick's eyes, a last, long sad look. Not contempt, not spite, not even defeat.

Weariness shone in them.

He raised his head to the heavens. "Tell them," he said softly, to the Goddesses themselves, "that I love them."

Roarick then drove his sword into the King's chest and watched as the king fell, cold and lifeless.

Zee watched as she saw what she and Roarick have been working at for so long finally complete.

The King's eyes went wide as he staggered backwards.

He collapsed, siding down a wall. Labored gasps escaped him, his sight grew dim.

"...Rosaline...I'm coming...." he said, as blood trickled from his mouth.

After taking one last breath, he whispered, "...Zelda..." and stirred no more.

Roarick turned to Zee. "We have to go," Roarick said.

"What about the body?" Zee asked

"Leave it. It'll be dead weight anyway," he replied putting hishand on Zee's shoulder as they teleported out of the castle.

As the deathly deed was committed, Avgreil let down the earth wall for all to see the honorable King of Hyrule dead.

With a flash of white light and about six howls, the whole pack of wolves and Avgreil teleported back to their safe haven on the far outskirts of Castle Town.

And so, the King of Hyrule fell, alone.

And alone, he succumbed to death.
