The Gathering

Ariel beamed, "That's a pretty name!" she said, "I think I'll call you Maggie, okay?"

Aislin smiled to herself...there was no saving Magpie now...

Magpie rolled her eyes, pulling her hood farther over her head. "So what's this all about, then?" She crossed her arms, making the bird on her shoulder rattle in protest.

Aislin yawned, "Iddaknow...we just tagged along for the ride."

[sorry to keep you guys waiting... I blame the time difference and the fact im not suppose to be on lol]

[Anyway]

"Well, the reason I have called you all here is because I have a map leading to glorious treasures." Jon began holding a piece of parchment claiming its a map.

[It is but you guys can't see anything, it just looks like folded parchment to you]

"I have a ship waiting for me over in Lake Hylia. However, I do not have a crew to accompany me on my travels, hence i put up the fliers." he continued.

"Seeing as you all have arrived here, tonight, I am assuming you all are interested."

This is all Jon had planned on saying so he hoped he wouldn't get any questions.

Gabriella blinked at the girl's obvious try at offending her.

"You're taking us on a treasure hunt?" she asked, listening intently.

"Well, to put it simply,yes, I am taking you all on a treasure hunt."

[just so you all know, I planned this to have maybe 3 or 4 parts to the story lol. There is the meeting, sailing on the sea, and two parts in actually getting in and out of the dungeon lol]

Magpie listened intently. This was a new thing... She'd never left the relative safety of Hyrule, but this was a chance to go on a new adventure. "Sounds interesting," she said, her voice barely audible.

Gabriella only sighed as a reply, slouching back once again.

The twins exchanged glances.

"We're in."

"Well, we will head off on this journey one week from today. I should have all the supplies we will need for a few months while on the ocean. Be sure to pack everything you deem necessary to take onboard." Jon informed them.

"Until then," he said as he made for the stairs to his room.

"Oh, you should bring any weapons you own, fore this is no ordinary treasure hunt." he added with a smirk, showing some fang.

[right, well we can just end this segment here. Just have your character(s) exit the inn and start packing or something.]

Aislin emerged from the swinging doors, shielding her eyes from the sudden change in lighting.

"So, this is what it's come to..." Aislin sighed.

Ariel shrugged, "It's not all that bad..." she said quietly, "I mean, it's not like we're failures..."


"That's exactly what it's like"

Gebriella chuckled to herself and murmered,"Weapons," before following after the twins. She needed no weapons, only her magic. But just in case something did happen...

Dobby stalked after her. And suprisingly, she didn't bother with running him off. Only glanced back to him and kept walking out the swinging doors, then headed towards the gates and to her house to pack.

After several minutes spent walking in (awkward) silence, the twins arrived at their small cottage.

The two began to pack their bags, fitting as many clothes as they could into them.

Aislin hair was tied into a single braid behind her, while Ariel's was done in braided pigtails.

Aislin lingered at the doorway to their room, taking it in for a moment. "Ariel...do you ever wonder about...y'know...Mom and Dad...?"

Ariel looked up from beating on her bag to close it. "...Is that what this is about, Aislin?"

The elder twin said nothing, just slouched against the doorframe. After a moment, she spoke, "So what if it is?"

Ariel sighed again. "Aislin..." she began, "We don't know much about them..."

"We know enough."

Ariel frowned. "We'll talk about this later, okay?"

Her big sister shrugged, and began to collect her knives and one sword. "If you're quite finished...?"

Ariel heaved her bag upward. "To adventure." she finished.

"Surely Miss Gabriella doesn't mind Dobby staying here for the night?"

Gabriella waved it off as they entered her home.

Dobby jumped into the corner of the couch as Gabriella flew up the stairs and into her room.

She grabbed an easily totable suitcase and slung it onto the woven blanket covering the top of the mattress.

She threw as many sets of clothes into it as she could and grabbed another smaller bag and stuffed all the necessary hygiene products into it, before placing it in beside her clothes.
'..What am I forgetting...?' she thought, tapping her index finger on the side of her mouth.

Pushing the clothes and other such to one side of the case, and took a few of her vaulable items into a smaller bag and placed them into a small compartment in the case. She grabbed a few warm blankets and pillow and shoved them in the other side.

She grabbed a dagger...or two... and a sheathed sword, and pushed them under the rest of the items.
"That 'aught to do it.."

Sitting atop the case, she buckled it shut and looked in the mirror.

Pulling her raven hair back with her hand, she examined her appearance in the mirror.
"Ehh.." she dropped it and tied a few ribbons about her wrist," In case the need comes."

And with that, she was set for the upcoming voyage.

The twins, garbed in matching attire, stood on the docks, waiting on the others.

They talked in hushed tones, hardly daring to believe that they would shortly be going on an adventure of this calibur.

Ariel somehow seemed more excited than Aislin, who watched the undulating water with dark eyes.

[uh... Mal, the voyage doesn't come till a week from the meeting, and it looks like the twins packed and went to the dock the next day or soemthing lol.]

[it isn't a problem, I will just assume in the next part the twins arrived at the docks before everyone else.]

[Oops...I meant the inn.]

Aislin frowned, apprasing the inn.

"They won't let us in, you know..." Ariel said, "And we've a week to wait..."

Ariel smirked, "No worries. We'll sleep in the trees."

[lol... 'sleep in trees']

[haha yeah. Aislin's used to it by now.]

((Sorry for my vanishing act. Blame the snow. ^^))

Magpie watched her bird fly above the streets. She had 'packed', if that's what you would call it, and was spending the rest of her week atop the inn roof. The view was nice from up here, and she was pretty well hidden from any prying eyes.

[ok now that everyone has said they have packed...]

After the initial meeting Jon went up to his room to ready his own things.

"Good evening Jon Talbain, heard you had a meeting this evening?" said a mysterious person standing opposite Jon in the hall.

"Yes, but it just ended. If you want to come along, just pack your things and meet us one week from now." Jon replied.

"Yeah... I was...running a little late, so i couldn't make the meeting, but i would be glad to come along." the man answered.

"Right..." Jon said, "Good bye then"

Jon walked into his room and began to pack, WHEN SUDDENLY!!









nothing happened, except for a strange howl echoing through the night.

Is there another like me? Jon wondered.

[P.S. the next part of the adventure is still under development so it may take a while to get going... I'll summarize this part in the beginning in case anyone forgets lol]

Aislin and Ariel, huddled close to one another in the boughs of the tree, slept fitfully...more like not at all.

"Ariel."

"Yes, Aislin?"

There was a pause. "Do you think we are doing the right thing?"

"By leaving, you mean?"

"Yes..."

Ariel was quiet for a long time. "...I know what you want, Aislin...what we want...and so far, no one here can offer it."

"What if there is none who can, in any place we travel?"

"Then we will be as we've always been..." came the reply, "And we have one another."

Aislin nodded, "I suppose you're right, Ariel...goodnight, then."

"Goodnight, Aislin."

Magpie was atop the inn roof once more, tapping her foot to an unheard tune. Her eyes were half-closed, but she was completely aware of her surroundings. Her bird, Aizo, was asleep in a tree alongside the inn, head under her wing.

The girl gazed at the night sky as its speckled depths sparkled and twinkled. She knew she was on the brink of a great adventure that would change her life forever, whether for good or bad...

When Ariel awoke, she was hanging half off of her tree branch and felt like she'd been hit by a cart.


She groaned. "Neeeehhhhh....I feel like crap..." she moaned. Aislin stirred, but didn't awake, ignoring her sister's whined it.

Her silence spoke volumes. 'Suck it up,' she seemed to say.
