Apocalypse Here...

The sound met the King's ears, and her turned.

He gasped. "...Rosaline...?" he breathed, in shock.

Tears sprang into his eyes

Iko looked up at teh King. "Hm?"
So much for that plan...

The Captain of the Guard cocked an eyebrow.

"Rosaline...it can't be..." the King whispered, "Please...tell me this is not a dream...waking up would be a nightmare..."

The Captain was perplexed...Queen Rosaline had been dead for well over ten years...

"ummm are you ok?" Lorine asked

The king leapt up and ran to 'Rosaline', embracing her, and sobbing into her shoulder.

Lorine cocked her head to the side. Why was he hugging a little person.

Iko could smell the King's sweat, and tried to push away.
She got nowhere.
-Ug...you've got to be kidding me...-

The King sobbed loudly, his emotions pouring out on Iko's sleeves

Ick.

"Um...how have you been," she asked, for lack of better to say.

"Oh, Rosaline! It's been terrible without you! Zelda...Zelda's gone..." he wept.

"Oh..." Iko thought quickly, patting the King awkwardly on the back. "That's too bad...I always thought she was gonna run..."

"what's going on?" Lorine asked Rick

"I'm not really sure." Rick replied

The King shook his head, "No...she left...b-because I was horrible...I was so frightened to lose her after you that I...I actually drove her away..."

"Apparently, there's soemthin' up with that kid. She's not the same image to us as she is him. Rosaline..I believe it was his deceased wife." Laurie explained.

"What kid? The king is obviously holding a kitten," Rick said.

"no it's something else." Lorine argued

(XD Ah. Sweet, sweet chaos...)

Iko grinned to herself. If the King was feeling guilty, she could just make it a bit worse...
"Well, why on earth couln't you have been a bit more understanding?" She snapped, pulling away from him. "She was your daughter, after all."

The King looked as though he'd been slapped, "Rosaline..." he said, stricken, "Don't say such things...please, my darling..."

He wiped away a tear, "Now that you're back...I don't know or care how...now that you're back, you can help me rule again!"

[...Oh craaap...What a tangled web we weave, eh?]

{Oh, yes. And it's about to get worse.}

Iko brightened up a bit. -Rule, hm?-

"Yes, my darling...please, help me...and maybe Zelda will come back..."

"Alright, alright," Iko cooed, patting the King on the shoulder. "I'll help you, and Zelda will come back. It'll be just how it was before."

Hah. No harm in destroying a kingdom while I'm at it, she thought

The King nodded,

"Guards!" he said loudly, "Release the prisoners in question; it was a mere misunderstanding."

He turned to the Captain of the Guards, "And you, sir, tell your men to find the Princess. Comb the whole of Hyrule; leave no stone unturned; and may none of you rest until you find my daughter."

[I see some troubles ahead...]

Zinthos, wolf form, climbs up to a nearby window to view the preceedings of the hearing, unnoticed because of a strange small person being smothered by the King of Hyrule.

As the prisoners were being escorted out of the room, Zinthos jumped back to the ground and melds into the nearby shadows, waiting for something to happen...

Meanwhile...

Link was still uneasy,

"Ze--I mean, Flora?"

She giggled, "Yes, Butch?"

"C'mon...let's get out of here...please? I dont' like it...I keep getting this feeling that something ba--"

He was interrupted as two guards sautered by, "So, the King's finally gone crazy..." one commented.

The other laughed, "I suppose so, but until he clucks like a cucco, he's still King and we have to do what he says,"

The first sighed, "I know, I know...but the Princess has been gone for over a year...how are supposed to find her? For all we know she could be de--"

"Hold your tongue," the guard ordered, "Don't speak ill of Princess Zelda."

They evetually wandered out of earshot.

Zelda gulped, "Y-yeah, I think that's a good idea...let's get going..."
