Changelings in the City

"umm what i f i exit the city then turn into my dragon form adn i could use my eye sight to find her from way up i would have a look of the whole town if i did that'

Laurie looked around, but saw them nowhere in the shop.

She headed out into the street, and walked to the first shop on the road, being a game stand.

Tala nodded.

"Keep in cloud cover, though." she said "I'll stay down here."

Before he could take off, though, she spotted her.

"LAURIE!" she yelled.

"do u see her?" kayu asked turning around

Laurie turned around at the mention of her name and raced towards Tala.

"Hey!! Come here!! I want you to play this game!!" she said dragging her to the game stand, completely forgetting she had been lost.

"Yeah" she said. "Right there!"

Tala didn't look too sure about the game though

'ok" kayu said then followed her

Laurie dragged them over to the stand and handed them some rings.

"You throw them at the bottled. And if they land on the bottles, you get a prize." she said adventurously.

"oh cool" kayu said then tossed one on a bottle

Tala raised an eyebrow.

The whole 'game-playing' part had been left out of her childhood.

"So...what's the point? Why do we want the prize?" she said, eyeing the seemingly useless stuffed animals

"...I don't really know.." Laurie said thoughtfully," But you just do." she said throwing one onto a bottle.

"here" kayu said handing her a stuffed animal

"idk i dont ever keep it i just usually give them away"

Tala sighed.
"Sounds pointless." she said to Laurie.

She took the stuffed animal, studying it closely.
"Thanks." she said "But what am I supposed to do with it?" she said, turning it upside down, then sniffing it.

kayu chuckled "umm whatever u want idk and it is a lil pointless but u usually feel good when u win something"

Laurie threw another one on a bottle, nearly missing it.

She had one left, and threw it onto the middle bottle.

"Yus!!" she shouted and grabbed her prize, tucking it carefully under her arm.

"Because, it's pointless fun. Just try it. You also get a feeling of accomplishment." she said handing her her three rings.

Tala took three rings.

"Ok, whatever you say..." she said, tossing one, and missing.

She set her mouth in a determined line, and threw again, making her target.

Tala actually half-smiled for about two seconds when she got a bear.

"See? Didn't that feel nice?" she asked.

She looked at the bear, then at Laurie.

"I...guess..." she said, still not clear on what she was supposed to do with the bear now that she'd won it.

"well...what now?"

Tala shrugged.

"I dont know..." she said, looking for changelings.

"this may take a while and well at least if we dnt find another one of us it wasnt a complete waste of time'

Tala nodded.

Laurie looked around and saw a candy store.
"Ohhh!!" she said gravbbing their wrists and dragging them with her to the candy store.

"umm ok.."
