PE

Jetta tightened the string on her gym shorts. She frowed. They hadn't had her size when she joined the class, and she'd been forced to get a size much too large for her.

They fell a little past her knees, and she had to tighten them immensely so they'd stay on her waist. Oh well. The more of her legs covered, the better.

Jetta stepped quickly onto the court, stretching and awaiting instructions.

Laurie was always late, so she was rushing to get dressed.

She ran into the gym and sat in a line with the others, stretching and still waiting for their instructions.

"Partner up." the PE teacher instructor said, "We'll be running the trail today, and its safer in pairs."

Jetta looked up, studying the unfamiliar faces. Before she knew it, they were all partnered off...and she wasn't.

Laurie gazed about at all the girls, all but one were linked arm in arm.

'Great..' she thought, walking over to Jetta.

"Partners, I guess..huh.."she said quietly.

[Jazza? lol]

Jetta blinked her green eyes. "Quite. I'm Jetta." she said, extending it, "Pleasure to make your acquaintance."

[Fixed. XD]

"Yeah. Laurie." she said, shaking her hand lightly.

"Time to get this overwith, I imagine." she said, watching all the pairs take off, with the coach following in their golf cart type thing. Yeah. Lazy.

Jetta clasped her hands in front of her. "I suppose so. How far do we have to run?"

Laurie shrugged.
"Iddaknow. I wasn't really paying attention. Lets just follow the others, yes?" she siad, jogging off after the others.

Jetta sprinted after Laurie. "If you say so..."

"Gosh, keep up, you're so slow.." she said, her pony-tail flopping about.

Jetta sighed, speeding up considerably. She passed several pairs, taking off toward the trees encompasing the running trail.

"Keep up!" she called as she rounded the corner.

Laurie picked up the pace headed after Jetta, surpassing her by about 20 yards.

"Oh come on, is that the best you can do? You Blonde Rapunzel wanna-be."

Jetta took off, catching up to Laurie. "And just what is wrong with my hair, precisely?"

"Whats not wrong with it?" she asked, making a face.

Jetta glared. "It's far nicer than your mop." she quipped. "Did you have a bad run-in with a lawnmower, or did you cut it yourself blind-folded? Or did you perhaps actually pay someone money to do that to your head?"

"You know, I'd love to get your hairstylists number. I'm planning on being the bride of Frankenstein for Halloween. And judging by what she's done to your hair, she'd be perfect." she spat.

Jetta scoffed. Her hair was long and naturally a sunny blonde. She kept it up in a braided bun almost always, with a ribbon holding it in place.

"With you, everyday is Halloween." Jetta said.

"Better than being raised in a circus. Might wanna pluck the 'stache, hun. Talk about your bearded lady."

She looked around for a minute and stopped.
"...Where'd the others go?" she asked quietly, surveilling the area.

Jetta shrugged. "We're on the trail, correct? We haven't deviated from the path, have we?"

Laurie looked down at the twigs and stuff beneath her.
"Um. Jetta? I don't see the trail.." she looked around nervously.

Jetta sighed. "Spectacular. I'll fix this."

She backtracked several feet, glancing at the trees surrounding them.

"Moss grows on the North side, right?"

"Um...Sure." she said uncertain. Pfsh. She didn't know.

She twised and turned around the trees; still no sign of the road.
'Jetta better know what she's talking about..' she thought.

Jetta frowned. "What direction were we headed originally?"

"...The trail? I don't know! I don't carry a GPS system with me 24/7!"

"This is your fault." she mumbled, backing up. "Just keep going straight back. I don't recall turning, so we'll make it back eventually."
