Apocalypse Here...

"That would be nice, thank you."

Scy rapped Iko on the head again, blinking innocently.

As Airas went off to find a pot somewhere in the wreckage, Link watched Scy, looking from the Kokiri to Airas, to Tara, to Iko.

Finally, his eyes stopped on the wagon, and he frowned.

It would be easier said than done to coax Zelda out of her foul mood.

Scypher hopped out of her spot and came to stand by Tara, rocking on her feet as if nothing were wrong. "So...yeah."

"Quite," agreed Tara.

"I couldn't agree more," Link said.

Tara sighed. "And there's nothing we can do, is there? She'll only listen to you, Link."

Scy made a face. "And even then..."

He winced. "I know...but...she's in a very, very bad mood...and it's not going to be easy. I'm not exactly looking forward to it. Never repeat this but...she has the temper of her father when she's finally had enough."

Tara whistled low. "In Din's name..."

"Have fun, buddy-boy."

Airas managed a smile. "Nice knowing you."

Link saluted them half-heartedly, and meekly made his way to the wagon.

Scypher scuffed the dirt with her toe. "Three....two....one."

"WHAT?! ME? CALM DOWN?!"

"B-b-but, Zelda...if you'll just take a deep breath--"

"I'M BREATHING DEEP ENOUGH! IF I BREATHE ANY DEEPER, MY LUNGS WILL EXPLODE!"

Scypher winced. "That sounds bad. I think I'm staying out of this one."
Tara nodded. "Poor kid..."

Link's quieter, more composed voice timidly spoke up.

"Zelda, you're not being rational right now. What does being angry with Kadomi accomplish? You're being bias toward Gerudo in general now."

"They birthed the freakin' King of EVIL, Link!" she hissed.

{{Ouch.}}

Scy's wince grew more pronounced. "Ouch. This could take a while."

Tara folded her sleeves up, nodding slowly. "Quite a while..."

[[Zelda's not happy.]]

Link and Zelda's conversation collapsed into a string of Ancient Hylian, thus lost to Airas.

She turned her attention on Scy, "I'm sure she doesn't mean any of it..." she said timidly. "...Right?"

Scypher blinked at Tara, who was listening intently to Link and Zelda.

She turned back to Airas and shook her head. "I'm not sure...I don't know her as well as any of the others..."

Airas twiddled her fingers, longing to use her powers to fix things.

The coversation {fight} drifted in and out of Common.

"...don't understand Link! You'll never understand..."

"...the way you feel, then maybe you just don't need me."

Link stormed out of the wagon, stalking past the Kokiri and Wyndryder.

"She's your problem now." he growled.

Scypher reached out a hand and caught the hem of Link's tunic. "Link...don't go away angry like this. Once we find Kadomi and....and Fell..."

He turned angrily, biting words hot on his lips. But he stopped.

"I don't see what good it will do." he said slowly, "I'm nothing but a commoner. Fell and Kadomi can't fix that." he said cryptically.

And then, just like that, Airas knew what had happened.

Scy shook her head in horror. "Link...you can't think that...How could you ever..."

Link's eyes flashed, "She told me I couldn't understand the pressure on her due to her position."

Airas bit her lip, "I'm sure she didn't mean it the way you took it..."

"She couldn't have meant it like that!" Scy shook her head vigorously. "Never like that! SHe's just...angry...right Tara?"

Tara nodded slowly. "Times have been tense lately, and she just needs to share the burden. Try to understand, Link..."

Link flushed, "She doesn't understand me! She never will! It's always, 'Zelda has so much pressure on her because she's a princess'. She has no idea what it's like to be me!"

"Link..." Tara's soft voice somehow overshot his shouting. "You know that's not true. Don't cloud yourself by believing it."

His eyes wavered, sadness showing clearly in the blue orbs for a moment...and then it was gone.

"You're right..." he said, "...but what if she doesn't believe that?"

"We can only try. Not just you, but all of us."

"Note the 'we'," quipped Scy.
