Fell pounded on the door, shattering the serene scene. "KAD! Kad, for the love of the golden Goddesses, WAKE UH-HUP!! They're here! How, i dunno, but THEY'RE HEEEERE!"

Kad staggered to the door, baggy shirt hanging to her knees. "Who's where?"

Kad blinked, still sleepy. "What is what and why?"

Fell grabbed Kad's shoulders, dragging her into the light and pointing. "That is Mika and Mallorie and I DON'T KNOW WHY!!"

Again, Mika waved. "Mornin'!"

Kadomi blinked yellow-green orbs, oddly calm.

"Storm shelter's in the back. I have chicken wire. We'r good."

Fell looked at Kad as if she'd grown bright blue wings behind her ears. "Kad! Are you not seeing this? How do you think they got here in the first place!? If they can get here, there's no telling what freaky powers they have! CHICKEN WIRE IS USELESS!!"

"I say you're overreacting," Mika said, somewhere near Fell's elbow.

"My dear Fell." Kad explained. "I have not consumed my morning pot of black coffee. Until then, I am not at liberty to care about anything."

Fell almost screamed in frustration. "You," she called, pointing to Jazz as she tried to slink past. "You aren't going anywhere. Not until you help me with these two."

"I don't see why we're such a problem," Mika said, glancing at Mallorie as Jazz moaned. "Do you?"

Mallorie looked up from the grass where she was pulling petals off flowers.

"D'ya suppose we'd do this sorta thing if plants could scream?"

Kad blinked at her. "All the more reason for me to do that sorta thing."

Fell's eye twitched. "For the love of Din..."

Kadomi yawned. "You can come inside today...provided your name doesn't rhyme with calorie...or...Pika...chu...?"

"I'm good," Mika said, stepping past Kad. "My name's Katelynn, in case you didn't know."

Fell groaned. "Someone. Please. Shoot me now."

Kad blocked Mika. "Or if it rhymes with Latelynn."

"Ohh... You fail," Mika frowned. "You should be more specific, really."

Kad blinked, then slammed the door shut, setting the deadbolt.

Leaving Fell outside.
"Uhm, Kad? Kadomi, old buddy, old chum? Wanna do me a favor and LET ME IN!?!"

Kad slowly undid the deadbolt, opened the door for a split second, dragged Fell inside and slammed it back.

"I give you," Mika sighed, going to a window and peeking in, "the poopers of our party."

Mal nodded earnestly. "Hardly seems fair, you know."

"Exactly. I mean... we gave them life, for crying out loud!"

Fell pulled the blinds. "Go drink your barrel-and-a-half of coffee, old chum, so you can be awake enough to assist me with the Children from the Black Lagoon."

Mallorie frowned. "We could always go down te chimney."

Kad gave a thumbs up and disappeared into the kitchen.

"No dibs on wearing a big red fat suit," Mika replied instantly, tilting her head back to gaze at the roof. "And what if we get all bla-- nevermind."

"Why do you think they're here?" Fell muttered to no one in particular as she followed Kadomi.

Kad was in the process of filling a mug with black coffee.

She mumbled something along the lines of, "They're just nosy," before taking a swig of her cup of crack.

Mallorie cracked a grin. "Quite. Why don't weeee....bust through a window?"

Mika hid a smirk. "I'm not talented in the arts of breaking and entering. Let's do it."

"How'd they get here, though? And if they don't know, how are they getting back!? They won't be here forever, will they? And what if--" Her words were cut off by a well-aimed pillow. "Wha!?"

Tara hefted another cushion, eyeing Fell. "You're overreacting. Chill."
