An Apple a Day Keeps the Bloodthirst Away

Gale paraded through the streets of Castle Town, whistling a tune similar to that of 'Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf?'.

He knew she'd have to come into the market sometime soon. Thats the only place she'd know of to get fruits and vegetables.
"Come on, now..gotta come out of hiding sometime soon.."

Fang stared at the vendor opposite her, before handing him the blue ruppee. Here she was, wasting her hard-earned cash on vegetables.

Vegetables. When she was the most ravenous, meat-craving wolf-girl she knew. Life is cruel sometimes.

"I hate irony," she sighed, taking the tomatoes and stepping back through the streets.

He scanned the streets for a girl with some fruits or vegetables that looked miserable.
"Gotcha." he said spotting her instantly.

He chased after her and tapped her thrice on the shoulder.
"Hello again."

Fang turned slowly, fixing her eyes on the person who'd just interrupted her sulk.

She blinked. "Gale?"

Thpse clear blue eyes widened, and she balked. "What are you doing here?"

"The job I've been sentenced to for the rest of my natural life," he explained," I see you're actually going through with this. My condonances or congratulations, whichever the case may be."

"Kinda had a rude awakening, what with the blood, and the fighting, and the near-death experiences...well, near-death for other people."

Fang grinned. Toothily. "I'll admit. I broke down once or twice. Had a bunny couple of months back. But I can proudly say I've been meat free--raw and cooked--for two months."

Her grin widened. "And I've gone stark raving mad in the process."

"You've always been a bit mad, anyway. But thats okay. I think thats why we all care for you the way we do," he said, patting her shoulder, "Where are you headed off to, now?"

Fang half-smiled. "Kind of wandering, lately. Where you been, whilst I was fighting my inner demons?"

"Here..there. A little bit of everywhere. Gabriella's girls want to see you." he said, a smile beginning to emerge, but faded almost instantly.

"Do they now?" she said, "What's wrong with 'em?"

"I think they've caught something from my sister. Being in the same room with her too long will do things to ya." he said, gesturing on down the road.

Fang followed. "Yeah, I don't doubt it." she muttered, digging around in her grocery sack.

"Y'know, carrots aren't so bad." she grinned.

Gale patted her on the back.
"I'm glad to hear that. I'm sure the other changelings will be too. "

She sighed. "Minus one..." she said under her breath.

[cough cough.... mind if i toss Haseo into the fray?]

"Oh... what to do..." Haseo hummed as he walked allong the streets of town, arms crossed behind his head.

wonder if my cuz is in any trouble yet he thought as his face became more wolfish and he started smelling for her scent, and following it.

Fang blew upward at her bangs, deep in thought.

After several mins of searching, Haseo finally found his cousin.

"*sigh* I finally found you," he said his face changing back to normal, rather to it's human form.

"*sniff sniff* have you been eating vegetables again..." he added, disgust showing on his face.

Fang blinked. "Haseo?" she said, "Where've you been, man?"

She watched him sniff. "...Well...maybe. Y'know. To help my 'condition'."

Gale tipped his hat at Haseo.
"Haseo. Good to see you again." he said, his eyes showing welcome, though his other facial features hadn't been swayed," And yes, thankfully she has been meat-free for a month or two. Maybe after another month of it, she can finally have some real protien."

Fang made a face. "There's that word again. What's it supposed to mean, anyway? Everytime I stay at an inn, someone sees my food and asks me where the protein is."

"Protein. Essentially, it's meat. But you can get your protein value from peanuts, or anything of that sort," he explained, "I hope you haven't been asking them, 'Whats protein?'. Now have you?"

Fang shook her head. "Didn't think to."

"Good. That would've sounded a bit barbaric." he mused.

"So how have you been, Haseo?"

"Um, how so?" Fang asked.

"Most people in Hyrule know what protein is. And now you're part of that percentage. Congratulations." he said.
