Name: Shaun Clearglass

Age: Em…Old. Quite. Doesn’t look that old, but trust me. He’s the oldest of the fogeys.

Race: Hylian

Lives: Kakariko Village, in the house behind the potions shop.

Appearance: He's a funky old man. Nondescript features; gray hair, wrinkles....yeh.

Powers: He’s quite good at concocting various unappetizing formulas, can trap anyone during one of his stories, and has the innate knowledge to vaguely sense someone’s intentions (which may or may not come from being older than dirt). More on the ‘storytelling’ aspect: He can weave a story so lifelike, so real, that certain parts seem to actually happen. It comes in handy when trying to calm down hyper village children.

Persona: He’s a calm, good-hearted, quiet old man usually, but if the right subject comes up, he can argue with the best of them. He’s prone to float off in his memories from time to time, but he’s a veritable well of good advice and wisdom. Don’t take his age for weakness, however. He used to be a guard at Hyrule Castle, and although he has retired, he’s still fairly good with a sword.

Background: You’ve all seen the old men who tell stories to kids, and who’ve been around longer than the dust they walk on. This is pretty much Shaun’s image. His favorite pastime, besides combing the nearby trails for potion ingredients, is to entertain a group of children with his stories. He’s been through a lot during his years and is forever grateful to a few certain people for saving his life. Though his animal-loving granddaughter couldn’t be saved, he keeps her memories alive by raising several of her strange pets, including a small tabby cat, a guay, and most recently, a ridiculously annoying cucco.
