Window Shopping

Normally, Kitsune would have stayed away from the town, however he required some supplies before his next big banishing job. He stopped by the local healing shop and attained the items he needed.

With his duty done, he had some free time for leisure shopping, although he didn't plan on buying anythign else.

He started down the streets looking from store to store, waiting for something to grab his interest.

Alice dragged Allison dutifully through the streets, the latter stalking about with her usual amount of good cheer: none.

"I don't see why she can't get it herself. She's supposed to be the adult." Allison pointed out.

"Oh, but she's terribly busy, Allison." Alice said, pulling her this way and that, "She has a lot to deal with right now."

"Like what?" Allison spat. "Folding her socks and alphabetizing the spice cabinet?!"

Alice chose to ignore her cousin.

Kitsune had baught some apples and lied against a wall of a street.

[where the cousin's were walking by (for clarification)]

As he layed there eating his apples, someone had stepped on his tail.

"OW! Hey watch where your walking!" he reacted cradling and brushing his poor tail.

Alice spun on her heel, halting her purposeful march, and proceeded to apologize profusely.

"Oh, my goodness! I'm terribly sorry," the child said, covering her mouth with her hands. "Really, really sorry. I should have watched where I was going."

Allison merely looked at Kitsune distastefully, blinking.

"Geez... it wasn't that big of a deal.." he replied, to Alice's reaction, still petting his tail.

"You two look very similar... but your personalities are complete opposites," he added, looking from one to the other.

Allison scowled. "How long'd it take you to figure that one out, doggie?"

Alice looked at her cousin reproachfully, "Allison!" she said, her tone warning.

"I am not a dog!" Kitsune said angrily, "I am a fox!"

"What are you guys, sisters? friends? what?" he added.

"Cousins, if you must know," Allison retorted, ignoring Kitsune's proclamation.

Alice cringed visibly. "Yes, we're cousins. We live together." she said quietly.

"Well, your cousin is veeery lovely..." he said very sarcasticly, looking toward Allison.

"If i may ask, what brings you to this wretched place," he added, refering to Castle Town as a whole.

"And you are not." Allison said contemptuously.

"Oh, um...well, it's not so bad. I rather like it, actuallly." Alice said honestly

Kayu layed on his back atop a clerk's stand a few yards away. His head hung off of the roof of it and he watched everyone walking by.

He did this just about everyday...watching everything seemed to be something he enjoyed.

Kayu let out a small yawn and he rolled over on his stomach, and looked over at the cousins and Kitsune.

Kitsune just glared back at Allison, till he sensed someone was watching. [he is part fox you know...]

He turned his head around and looked in the general area he felt that someone was watching from.

Allison frowned. "Paranoid, are we?"

"No... Someone is up there," Kitsune retorted searching for that someone.

[this will be hard with brian not on lol]

Kayu rolled backwards, and landed on his feet in front of the shop.

"Why were you spying on us," Kitsune inquired of Kayu.

The cousins looked at one another.

"Who are you?" Alice asked timidly

"spying? im not spying...I lay there almost everyday..or sit on that bench over there" he said as he looked over to a bench on the corner.

"i just watch everything....and i noticed you 3 so i looked over here" Kayu replied

Allison shrugged, not much caring.

"Man this town is full of weird people... first, this overly pessimistic person, then this overly caring person, and now some strange guy 'watching'" he responded.

"Well i've had enough weirdos for one day, i'm going," Kitsune added as he started to walk toward the nearest exit.

Suddenly

As Kitsune walked past a local potion/herb shop [not the same one Kitsune bought supplies at though] an explosion from within the shop drew the attention of everyone in the vacinity. From the smoke, a cloaked figure ran by, running into Kitsune, dropping what he was holding.

"Hey watch where your going!" Kitsune said glaring at the figure.

Alarmed, the figure scrambled to gather the 'items' as the shop owner came stumbling caughing and weezing, managing to yell, "After him *points at the shady figure who was now down the alley*," before collapsing to the ground.

Many people rushed to help the owner, but Kitsune kept looking at where the shady figure made his escape.

I really really hate this town he thought starting the chase to catching the guy.

Alice started to move toward the potion owner, but Allison pulled on her hand.

"Hey, let's go..." she said, moving away.

Alice frowned. "B-but...he...he needs help."

"It's not our problem."

"yea...im called weird by a walking and talking fox" Kayu said as he hopped up on a building and started to make his way after Kitsune and the "shady figure".

Kitsune pulled on his Keaton mask to hide his face and make him slightly more like a fox, to throw off the person he was chasing.

"Hey, you there. Stop this at once!" he called out to the man, or what he assumed to be a man.

The figure did stop midway down the alley, but when he looked back, all he saw was a fox-like creature running toward him. He assumed the thing was harmless and started to walk away toward what seemed to be a run-down cottage off the mainstreet.

Kayu was following close behind on the rooftops. Being careful to stay outah sight and not to fall.

Allison had Alice by the hand, half-leading, half-dragging the poor girl away from Kitsune and Kayu.

"Don't want to get mixed up in any trouble." Allison explained. "They'll send us back."

Alice lowered her head, thinking about this for the first time. "You're right..." she whispered. "I'm sorry..."
