Children Will Be Children...Except When They Won't.

There were two distinct kinds of children inhabiting Gabriella's home.

One was the child parents' dream of. The other was the sort that makes parents eager to dream, if only to escape them.

As unlikely a combination as these children were, the two had settled themselves contendtedly in the grass of the yard, and were either examining the lovely cloud formations, or analyzing the cloud formations.

Alice smiled and sighed deeply. A happy sigh. "Allison, that one looks like a rabbit."

"No it doesn't. It looks like a cloud. A misshapen bundle of gaseous water vapor."

"...You don't have to spoil my fun." Alice said, defensive.

"One can only spoil one's fun if the former allows it." Allison pointed out.

Kalani had just reached Hyrule Castle Town, and was looking around to see the city.

He spotted two girls playing in a vacant lot, and decided to investigate.

Alice's brutnette head shot up, and her keen blue eyes fell upon the young boy.

"Curious," said she, for you see, he wasn't the normal sort of boy one would expect to spy in the bustling Castle Town. He was dressed much more like someone from beyond the city's gates...what they called a wanderer.

Allison, the much more collected, (bordering on cold) girl, merely inspected him with all the enchantment that one would find in someone inspecting an insect. She said nothing, but made judgements with her eyes.

Alice, on the other hand, beamed. "Why, hello there!" she called, "Would you like to join us?"

"Depends," he said, "Might you have any food?"

"Well..." Alice said, fishing around in her pocket, "I seem to recall placing a roll in here earlier this morning..."

"Oh, Alice. Don't feed them. They'll only come back for more." Allison said, sighing and assuming her normal defiant air.

Gabriella peeked out the window to see the girls, erm...Alice, conversing with the young boy.
"They're already making friends...supposedly charming." she assumed her duties.

Allison merely ignored the boy.

"sooo um what exactly are you doing?" he asked

"Staring at the clouds...look! It's a dog!"

Azlin found herself in an unfamilar place she hadnt left the lake before she stood and saired blankly at the kids infront of her

Alice's brown braids bobbed as she turned her head to look at the newcomer.

Her face broke into a smile, "Hi there!" she said, "Want to play with us."

Allison rolled her blue eyes, turning her back and mumbling something about bleeding hearts who didn't know their places.

"where might i ask am i?" she walked slowly twards the strange girls

Alice grinned, "You're in Castle Town," she said cheerily, "The capital of Hyrule. I'm Alice, and that's my cousin, Allison," the little girl said, pointing to the dark girl sitting in the corner of the yard.

They looked almost identical, except for a vague, intangible aura about their faces...Allison was brooding...misanthropic...she said nothing to Azlin.

"Your hair is a funny color," Alice said, "But it's nice. How did it get that way?"

"i was born with it like this... so are you from around he"
still not sure what to to about her situation azlin observed her suroundings

"Uh huh...we're orphans." she explained. "This is our foster mom's house."

Allison sighed. "It's not decided. Basically she's 'trying before she buys', if you will."

The girl scowled, "She has no intention of keeping us."

Alice looked hurt, "Y-you don't know that, Allison..." she said gently.

Stony silence was the response.

azlin smiles politely and huggs alice "i'm an orphan to all i have is this annoying fariy"

Alice's eyes grew wide in wonder. "Fairy? Ohhh! It's so cute!" she cired, examining it happily.

"uhhh it will be ok i'm an orphan too i come from the kokiri forest... all i have is flick my fairy and he never shuts up"
hugging alice and backing away quickly

Alice smiled. "Hi, Flick! Nice to meet you!"

azlin snatched flick and shuved him back in her hip pack
"so how do things around her work"

Alice cocked her head to the side, "Well, we only just arrived yesterday...I do wish you would meet Gabriella, but she isn't here right now..."

She smiled, "Allison and I were just looking at the clouds together. It's quite fun...would you like to try?"

Allison sighed, "I was doing no such thing..."

she looked twards the sky "... sigh... oh look a bunny"
she rollede her eyes pretending to see somthing

"...Oh, I see it! Haha...it's ears are lopsided," Alice said cheerily.

Her cousin, Allison, looked at her disgusted. The two were polar opposited of one another.

azlin ploped down on the ground reached in her pocket and pulled out a pan flute and started playing a lulaby she stoped and sang for a second " listen to the wind the tree are all asleep time for a nap little baby so sweet" then she started playing once agian

Alice smiled, fascinated. She simply listened tot he song, too afraid to interrupt.
