Fang tried to walk on her own, stubborn as always, when her legs collapsed out from under her.

"You're in no condition to walk." Gale said, scooping her up and carrying her out of the brush, looking back seeing that Laurie was okay as well.

Fang looked at him, eyes wide.

"Um, what are you doing...I can walk by myself." she said indignantly.

"Oh really? Then lets see you walk." he said, setting her feet on the ground.

Laurie was snickering behind them.

She shot him an arrogant look, then put one foot in front of the other.

"AHH!" she said, her ankle giving way.

She fell, blushing furiously, to the grass.

"My point precisely." he siad, scooping her back up.

Lauire busted out laughing, while Gale shot her a menacing glare.

"Sorry.." she siad, still chuckling," I'll stop.."

Fang crossed her arms.

"Well...I guess so..."

They headed back to the Inn. Hopefully, they'd be safer there.

Laurie opened the door, and Gale set Fang down on the bed.
"Now, how do we treat her.." Gale thought aloud to himself.

"Very carefully and with minimal pain." she offered.

"Thats..somewhere...alonmg the lines of what I was thinking." he said.

"We'll use a damp rag for now. I'll go get some medicine. Until then...try not to kill her...or him." she said, grabbing a small changepurse off the windowsill.

"You do realize, of couse, that I have little to no self control, and that you will have to restrain me so I don't spasmodically backhand you upside your face." she said matter of factly.

"Believe me, love, I figured that out the first time I met you." he siad, rising to get the damp cloth.

"As long as we see eye-to-eye then, love." she said, mimicking his voice and smirking.

"I think you've just about got it."he siad, referring to the accent.

"...Oh, and Gale? Don't hit me in the ribs...I think they're broken..oh, and then there's the matter of the two puncture wounds in the stomach."

"Yeah. I pretty much guessed that.." he said, looking at the blood seeping through her garmet at her stomach.

"Yes, I'd rather keep all my insides on the...inside." she said plainly, gripping the mattress to keep from yelping.
