Race: She's a specter, ghost, spirit, apparition, etc.

Powers: She is a neutral ghost that haunts houses and often appears at the top of stairwells and in mirrors.

Lives at: Wherever she is haunting at the moment.

The Legend: The story of "Death's Bride" is one of tragic love. Lilith was engaged to be married to an older, rich man, while her affections were directed at young blacksmith. While social status kept them apart, they often visited in secret. One night, however, Lilith's mother could not sleep, and stepped out on the balcony, where she overheard Lilith and the boy in the garden. Enraged, Lilith's mother threatens Lilith the next day, swearing that if the two do not stop seeing each other, she'll have the boy driven away--or worse. Fearing for his life, Lilith confronts her love one, last time, telling him that they must avoid each other at all costs. Instead, he tells her that if they could only elope, their troubles would be over, and they could spend the rest of their lives together. Lilith believed his words, and waited two nights until she met him in the garden to flee. However, Lilith's mother had sent servants of her daugther's rich fiance to watch her, and they reported their findings to Lilith's mother and husband-to-be. He gathered his male servants to track the wife-stealer down, and within hours, they overtook the renegade couple. Intent on the boy's demise, Lilith's fiance came at him with a knife, but Lilith leapt in front of him at the last moment. The knife pierced her heart, and she died in her true love's arms.

Lilith now spends her life (er, death) garbed in a wedding gown, and often sings love songs, wedding marches, and lullabies, because of her unfulfilled wish to become a wife and mother.

Personality: Lilith is lonely. She longs for the people of her past, but to no avail. She craves attention, and plays tricks on people, scares them, or wakes them up at night in order to get it. She particularly likes large, creaky old houses. Lilith often sings as she haunts, rearranges items at dressing tables, or calls people from her past by name. She hums the Wedding March at times, and has been sighted making wedding preparations in her victims' rooms. While not malevolent, she's not magnanimous. She is, however, rather tender and quiet, even if she enjoys haunting.
